Which building(s) are historical at Atherton?
Atherton Cotton Mills, the original brick building at 2108 South Boulevard, was Charlotte’s first textile mill. Built between 1892 and 1893, it was a major industrial center and today houses retail shops. The Trolley Barn, originally a warehouse for the Atherton Mill, this building was later used to house and restore Charlotte’s historic trolleys. It has since been redeveloped into a food hall and brewery.
