Riesling is one of our favorite grapes, but is often the most misunderstood. It goes great with lots of food and easily reflects the place where it was grown. And guess what – they are not all sweet! However, after trying some really good ones, you might better understand why many of them have that residual sweetness.

We will explore the different “Pradikat” levels and 4 different regions as we taste through 6 German Rieslings. The wines to be tasted are:

* 2012 Leitz EinsZweiDry, QbA, Rheingau
* 2013 Leitz Dragonstone, QbA, Rheingau
* 2012 Leitz Rudesheimer Berg Roseneck Spatlese, QmP, Rheingau
* 2012 Christoffel Ries Urtziger Wurzgarten Spatlese, QmP, Middle Mosel
* 2012 Darting Durkheimer Nonnengarten Kabinett, QmP, Pfalz
* 2012 Schneider Niederhauser Hermannshohle Spatlese, QmP, Nahe

We’ll also offer some tasty treats to enjoy with the wine so you see how well Riesling pairs with food.
