Due to weather concerns, we are moving the Night Market and entertainment inside the Mill Building near Not Just Coffee.
Join us for a magical family-friendly event celebrating the lighting of the Atherton Fairy Ring. We will light up the new permanent mushroom installation by local artist Meredith Connelly.
Festivities inside the Mill building (near Not Just Coffee)
- Live music by local fav Kadey Ballard
- For the kids (big + small): fairy dustings and encounters with Vicsin Art and Style
- Food, drinks and merriment
- Night Market of local vendors from the South End Market as well as retailers from Atherton
Evening specials inside our restaurants + retailers:
- Trolley Barn Fermentory will be offering a mushroom-featured Chef Specials as well as three Fairy-themed cocktails – Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather – the night of the event and throughout the weekend. The cocktail will come in 3 glittery colors, and which color you receive will be a surprise!
- Savory Spice will be featuring spices made of mushrooms or that are great for mushroom dishes in addition to mouth-watering recipes using mushrooms.
Mushroom Cocktail Recipe by The Cocktailery
- Umami Martini
- Ingredients: 2.5 oz of dry gin, 3/4 oz dry vermouth, 1/2 oz of pickled mushroom brine, 8 dashes of El Guapo gumbo bitters (avail at The Cocktailery).
- Stir with ice in a mixing glass. Strained up into your martini glass and garnish with pickled mushroom on a cocktail pick.
- Suggested food pairing: mushroom flavored pop corn using Savory Spice Shop mushroom seasonings
